Let God take the Weight
There are times that it feels as if you are carrying around a weight that seems to drag you down and make you more tired. It can begin to feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." He also says in Isaiah 40:29-31 "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Our strength can be renewed if we do only two things!!!
1. Go to God.
When we are feeling tired and weighted down if we will only go to God he will give us the rest we need. He calls all those who are weary and heavy laden to come to him, and he will do the rest!
2. Put our Hope in him.
God wants us to trust in him. He wants us to believe that he will provide even when it doesn't look good. He wants us to put our hope in him. When we do this he gives us strength, we begin to see things from his point of view, and things that were once stressing us out become small and insignificant. He will renew our strength if we will only trust in him.
Whenever I get tired I quote these scriptures and believe in the promise that God has given me. Even when we become tired we need to do our best to glorify our creator. So let's start by going to God with our burdens and placing our hope in him!
Dear God,
Help us to rely on your strength and not our own. Help us to remember to take our burdens and weariness to you, so that you can renew our strength.
Amen

Acknowledgement Before God

Why is it so hard to forgive those around you? Why is it so difficult to forgive those who have done you wrong? The Bible says that if we do not forgive those around us in our
hearts then Christ cannot forgive us. (Matthew 6:14) That's deep! I for one know that forgiving someone after they have hurt me is the last thing that I want to do! But that is exactly what the Bible says to do as difficult as it may be. It says that we are to lay down our flesh daily and fallow him.
If we are to be a Generation for Christ then we need to start laying down our fleshly desires of unforgiveness and selfish pride and stand up for the one who made us! We need to start fully relying on him who is in all things so that he can change our hearts and teach us to love those around us with HIS love and mercy!
Some of you may be asking yourselves, how? How can I do that? I'll tell you how, but first things first. Before you start this challenge you have to purpose in your heart to fallow and stick with it no matter the consequences. This isn't something you just say you're going to do, but then don't have to do any work. You are going to have to work on this and work hard! There are going to be times when you don't think you can stick with it any more, when it's just to hard for you on your own. But here's the good news, we don't have to do it alone! God is always there looking out for us, and if we only ask him, he will help us with whatever it is we are going through. So, if you can commit with me to stick with this challenge of forgiveness and continue to rely on him who made you, then we will soon start to see the power of God's love unfold in our everyday lives.
So how can we start learning to forgive? Well, this isn't something you just do over night, we all know this. If you struggle with unforgiveness in your life, the first step to over coming it is this, to realise it's there! I know, easy right? A lot of us don't realise we are even holding something against another person. We are not completely honest with ourselves. Or we simply choose to ignore it. We ignore the fact that we can never be completely comfortable around that individual because of something they said or did to us in the past. Col. 3:13 says, "Forgive, just as the Lord forgave you." This can be so difficult to comprehend. Think of all the horrible things you have done against God and his kingdom. Now think about this, God has forgiven you of all of those things! We have freedom through him! We are no longer held down by what we have done, he has forgiven us! So if he can forgive us, then why can't we forgive others?
I want you to think of one person you are having trouble forgiving. For the next 2 months I want you to pray for that person every time you think of them, every time you see them, every time someone mentions them. Pray that God will bless them and give you a love for them! Let's see what God can do through our prayers!
"The Prayer of a righteous man is Powerful and Effective!" James 5:16

Future Generations for Christ
Most of us know at least 1 person who is not saved, especially if you go to public school or have a job. You may in fact be one of those people. You might not realise this but as Christians we are called to be witnesses to those who don't know Christ.
In order to do this we have to start living for him. Some of you may ask, how do I show that I'm living for God? The answer is more simple then most of us would think, we can be a witness and live for him by not conforming to what the world thinks is right. Keeping our own standards and limits, and never crossing the line.
In fact you can show that you're not like the world in some of the smallest things that you say and do. Here are a few examples,
1. Only listen to christian music.
I know this one can be hard with all the different types of music out there, but the bible say's that Satan was the angel of music before he was cast out of Heaven. I have just recently given up all unChristian music, and I will admit that no it wasn't easy, but in the end it was worth it. My way of thinking was, why is it bad if it's not singing about anything bad? But then God asked me, if it's not glorifying me then why are you listening to it? Music was made to glorify him, but Satan has twisted it into something completely different. So we need to be careful of what we listen to.
2. Honor God with what we say.
This is fairly simple, we can honor God with what we say by not swearing, not lying, not gossipping, and with what we talk about. These are easy enough to read, but puting some of them into action is much harder. If you swear to fit in with a certain group of friends, once you start it's hard to stop, because once you've put that into yourself, it's hard to get it out. The way you stop is by puting in something good in it's place, like Bible. We must always think about what we are saying and ask ourselves if it is glorifying God.
3. Honor God with the way we dress.
This one is so important I cannot stress this enough! We as christians have to honor God in this! How can we be a witness to the unsaved if we dress just like them, and don't demonstrate what we believe?! If we don't look any different than they do then why would they want to change? We have to honor God with our body's, if we are a stumbling block to someone else because of the way we dress we will one day be held accountable. If you don't dress modestly not only are you saying that you don't care about being a witness, you are saying that you don't have any respect for yourself or body. And that is not the way we want others to see us.
